Senbis Polymer Innovations supports customers during applied polymer research. Senbis has more than 25 years of experience in polymer research and specializes in the development of high-quality applications of (bio)polymers in the form of:

  • Yarns
  • Monofilaments (e.g. for 3D printing)
  • Fibres
  • Non-wovens

In addition, Senbis carries out research into polymerization and into the physical and mechanical properties of polymers. The unique offer to the market is not just a team of experienced professionals, but also access to a fully equipped polymer laboratory and pilot plant facilities with which niche products are produced and proof-of-principle trials are carried out.

History
Senbis Polymer Innovations has been part of the Senbis Group since 2017, but already began providing services as an independent research company, under the name Applied Polymer Innovations (API), in 2008. The company was a re-launch of the R&D activities of Diolen Industrial Fibers, which produced yarns in Emmen for a world-wide market. Prior to Diolen, the production facility belonged to Akzo Nobel, which had built up the production for high tenacity polyester and polyamide yarns in Emmen. Through the tremendous R&D effort at this location, with support from the laboratories and pilot plant facilities, an incredible amount of knowledge and experience has been built up over many years. This was a perfect basis for the start of an independent research company.
